Veloce Publishing, ISBN 978-1-904788-45-4

Pages 219-232 cover the 911 GT1, 1996, 1997 and 1998 versions. Nice exterior picture, in races, at start, on track. My listing of modeler-friendly photos from this book:

Red-orange silicone cooling air hose for right side brake. The end of the yellow Bowden cable adjuster is just visible, fixed to the tab on the anti roll bar.
Page 220: Two factory 1997 racers under construction, no covers, from the front and left front quarter. Front brakes, cooling ducts (no flex hoses) and suspension arms.

Page 219: Cockpit of red-painted evo- race car? street car? can’t see if it has 2 seats or one. White painted, race-car interior.

Page 221: #25 racer at Le Mans, with engine cover removed. 1997 engine oil tank, silver-colored cold-air pipe to turbo

Page 225: Factory 1997 car cockpit, engine compartment.  Again, very clear, well lit, informative, photos. Green covered rear springs.

Porsche Racing Milestones, 356 to 962 Hal Thoms (C) 1999 ISBN 0-9631726-3-8

Nothing for GT1s, but the 956-962 section makes for interesting comparison with GT1s- same watercooled heads, similar engine compartment setup, very different systems setup. 200+ photos by Hal Thoms from the 1998 Monterey Historics, the 50th anniversary for Porsche, which was the featured marque that year. 128 historic photos are also included, which is a good mix: Modern, color, photos of the details of preserved, historic, vehicles. Color and black-and-white photos of the original vehicles, taken at their times of importance.
